Manufacturing Orders

A Manufacturing Order is a request to manufacturing a specific quantity of a specific Product.  Each Job contains one or more Manufacturing Orders.  Each Manufacturing Order contains one or more Operations and one or more Alternate Paths that describe the sequence in which Operations should be performed.

Manufacturing Orders can be linked together in a number of ways. For example, if one MO in a Job is to create an intermediate of sub-assembly for the next MO, we would use a Successor Manufacturing Order relationship. If the Successor MO can start before its predecessor finishes, we might use an Overlapping Manufacturing Order relationship. Lastly, if the MO ever needed to be split (i.e for date stamping and tracking reasons) we would use a Split Manufacturing Order.
