Grid Options

Introduction

Grids are a flexible way to view data. Each grid used in APS has a number of ways that they can be rearranged or otherwise manipulated to give the most important data at any given time. Displaying data in a Grid format is often times more comfortable for new users of APS who are coming from a background of using spreadsheets or other, older systems where storing information in rows or columns was common.

Key Concepts

Sorting: One way that Grids can be manipulated is to sort them. Grids can be sorted by simply clicking on the column name, which will sort the column names by ascending or descending order. Multiple columns can also be used to sort at the same time by shift clicking the columns to be used as sorting criteria.
